Omosh One Hour, a prominent figure known for his fervent support of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, has expanded his brand by transitioning from YouTube political commentary to hosting his own talk show. In his debut episode, aired on January 20, 2026, Omosh interviewed Nancy Indoveria Kigunzu, popularly known as Mathe Wa Ngara, who shared her personal hardships following her involvement in a major drug trafficking case.
Mathe Wa Ngara, arrested in 2023, was granted bail by the High Court after spending over two years in detention. During her conversation with Omosh, Kigunzu revealed the emotional toll her case has taken, especially the loss of her properties. She described how authorities had seized her house, demolished another she had built in western Kenya, and even confiscated construction materials. “They even went to western Kenya and demolished the house I had built,” she lamented. Kigunzu also spoke about her ongoing struggle, including her concerns for her children’s wellbeing and her plea for President William Ruto’s forgiveness and a pardon.
Omosh, who is gaining recognition for his new role as a show host, has received a mix of reactions from Kenyans on social media. While some complimented the interview format, others offered suggestions on how to improve his hosting skills. A few viewers expressed sympathy for Mathe Wa Ngara, with some suggesting the government should consider returning her property for the sake of her children.
Omosh, a former protestor who had supported Raila Odinga, has gradually shifted his focus, emphasizing his commitment to creating content that educates and informs his audience. His meeting with President William Ruto in August 2025 sparked a wave of discussions, with some accusing him of betrayal, while Omosh denied claims of receiving money from the president, calling them unfounded.
