KMTC Nyahururu Campus, located in Nyahururu town within the Laikipia County Referral Hospital, was established in May 2016 with the aim of addressing the critical staffing shortage in the region’s healthcare facilities. The campus started by offering a Diploma in Health Education and Promotion and later expanded to include other medical courses.
Currently, KMTC Nyahururu offers the following programs:
1. Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing (KRCHN)
- Requirements: Mean Grade C, C in English or Kiswahili, and Biology/Biological Sciences. C- in any one of the following: Chemistry, Physics, Physical Science, or Mathematics.
- Duration: 3 years
2. Diploma in Clinical Medicine & Surgery
- Requirements: Mean Grade C, C in English or Kiswahili, and C in Biology/Biological Sciences, C- in Chemistry/Physical Sciences, and C- in any one of the following: Mathematics, Physics/Physical Sciences.
- Duration: 3 years
3. Diploma in Health Education & Promotion
- Requirements: KCSE Mean Grade C (Plain). Mandatory subjects: C- (Minus) in English or Kiswahili, D+ (Plus) in Biology/Biological Sciences, and a minimum of D (Plain) in any of the following: Mathematics, Chemistry, Home Science, Agriculture, Physics, or Physical Science.
- Duration: 3 years
