The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) has announced an ambitious two-tower development in the heart of Nairobi’s central business district (CBD). Located at the junction of Uhuru Highway and Kenyatta Avenue, the development will include two towers: Tower A, with 60 storeys, and Tower B, with 35 storeys.
The project will feature a wide array of amenities and services designed to cater to business, hospitality, and residential needs. Key components of the development include:
- Office Spaces: Providing prime office space in Nairobi’s bustling CBD.
- Business Hotel: A hotel catering to business travelers with high-end services.
- Serviced Residential Apartments: Offering luxury living options in the city center.
- Retail and Conference Facilities: Supporting commercial activities and events.
- Observation Deck: Located on the 56th floor, offering stunning views of the city.
- Parking: A basement and podium-level parking facility for approximately 1,150 vehicles.
The proposed site has remained undeveloped for years due to past ownership disputes. In 2025, three individuals were detained by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) for allegedly transferring the land fraudulently using falsified documents. However, a Nairobi judge later dropped the charges, citing an earlier ruling by the Court of Appeal that had halted their detention while a related appeal was pending.
