Reservations are now open for the new Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Cartagena. It will welcome its first guests on May 15, 2026. The property sits in the vibrant Getsemani neighborhood—just steps from Cartagena’s UNESCO-listed Walled City. It blends centuries of history with modern luxury.
The hotel occupies several restored historic buildings. These include the 16th-century San Francisco cloister and temple. They also include former theatres and the iconic 1920s Club Cartagena. Guests will see preserved façades, quiet courtyards, and shaded walkways. They’ll also find intricate stonework, hidden frescoes, and elegant public spaces. Inside, rooms mix Old World charm with smart, intuitive technology.
Upon arrival, visitors enter a light-filled lobby under a modern glass atrium. There, the grand staircase of Club Cartagena has been carefully restored. From there, cozy courtyards and corridors lead to guest rooms.
The property offers 131 rooms and suites. Many feature private terraces. Among them are 27 Spanish colonial-style accommodations. Eighteen of these surround an interior cloister courtyard. The two-bedroom Presidential Suite—named the Catroux Suite in honor of its designer—delivers refined elegance and generous space.
In addition, there are 104 contemporary-style rooms. The standout is the three-bedroom Casa Ambrad, or House Royal Suite. It includes a private rooftop plunge pool. The development also features 15 luxury Private Residences for ownership or extended stays.
Dining is a major highlight. Eight distinct restaurant and bar concepts will debut. Notably, this marks the first collaboration between Four Seasons and The Major Food Group—the team behind New York’s Carbone. Offerings include a classic steakhouse and a lively bar with an intimate speakeasy. There’s also a casual pizzeria and a rooftop bar ideal for sunset cocktails. Additionally, a café will serve fresh pastries with Colombia’s world-famous coffee.
Wellness is central to the experience. The UMARI Spa has six treatment rooms, including a couple’s suite. It also offers hair and nail services. Meanwhile, a 24/7 fitness center supports active lifestyles. Two rooftop pools invite daytime relaxation. As evening falls, they become chic spots for cocktails with stunning city views.
To celebrate its opening, Four Seasons Cartagena is offering two special packages. First, the “Stay Longer – 4th Night Free” deal rewards extended stays. Second, the “Experience More” package includes up to US$250 in credit for dining, spa visits, and other experiences.
Bookings are now available online for arrivals from May 15, 2026. With its blend of heritage, design, and service, Four Seasons Cartagena is set to become one of the Caribbean’s top luxury destinations.
